About the Sioux Falls Area
Located in the southeast corner of South Dakota, the Sioux Falls metropolitan area (population 210,000) consists of the state’s largest city, Sioux Falls (144,000) and surrounding communities, Brandon (7,176), Tea (2,455), Hartford (2,065), Lennox (2,092), and Harrisburg (1,875). The metropolitan area has shown an increase of 22,000 people since the 2000 Census Bureau report.
